CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 25, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 12 <br />Voiced some concerns she had regarding some code enforcement issues on Brighton Way. <br />Mr. Newlon advised that there is a code enforcement process and legal due process measure <br />which have to be followed when addressing code violations. He stated that if there were <br />violations that did not appear to have been corrected, staff would need additional information <br />in order to determine whether there was already an open case or whether any measures had <br />already been taken to get the violations corrected. <br />Stated she was disappointed to see that Books -A- Million had closed. <br />Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Reported she had attended both the IlluminART — Spotlight on Sculpture and the Allegro <br />Adult Living facility groundbreaking events and she thought it was great to see some of <br />these projects coming to fruition. <br />Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />Reported she had attended the opening of the IlluminART — Spotlight on Sculpture event, <br />but was unable to stay due to a prior commitment. Commended the recreation staff for all <br />their hard work on the City's events. <br />Stated she had attended a meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 with Congressman Mica <br />where the focus was on what future needs there would be once the I -4 Ultimate project was <br />completed. She stated Congressman Mica was calling it "Beyond the Ultimate ", and he was <br />looking ahead and starting the conversation about possibly seeking federal funding to meet <br />those future needs. <br />18.
