CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 25, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 12 <br />May. In response to a question fi•om Commissioner Meadows, Mr. Newlon stated he <br />believed that the preliminary work such as surveys for the Oxford Road project would begin <br />around June 2016, although the actual construction would occur later. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS /COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Reminded everyone that Earth Fest would be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Secret <br />Lake Park. <br />Thanked all those who had attended the IlluminART - Spotlight on Sculpture Exhibit at Lake <br />Concord Park on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He advised that it had been attended and had <br />received some media attention, including a very good write -up in the Orlando Weekly. He <br />added that as a result of the positive media coverage, the Art House was receiving calls from <br />people wanting to get involved, so he felt that was a continuation of the City's move towards <br />being recognized as an arts and cultural community. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Reported he had attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Allegro Senior Living <br />facility on Tuesday, April 9, 2016, and he believed it was going to be a very impressive and <br />positive development for the City. <br />Requested an update on the tennis courts and was advised by Mr. Newton that the request for <br />bids had gone out and there had been no bids returned due to various reasons. He stated that <br />although it was very frustrating, it appeared the project would have to be re -bid. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />Stated she had also attended the Allegro groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, April 9, <br />2016 and noted she was impressed with the actual size of the project site. <br />Attended IlluminART — Spotlight on Sculpture Exhibit on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and <br />stated it had been great evening. She added that she always receives very positive comments <br />about the City's events. <br />
