YES for approval ❑ <br />NO for rejection ❑ <br />Section 4.05. - Mayor; Vice Mayor. <br />The Mayor shall preside at all meetings of the City Commission, shall be recognized as head of the City <br />government for all ceremonial purposes, by the governor for purposes of military laws, for service of process, <br />execution of contracts, deeds, and other documents. The Mayor shall be a member of the City Commission and shall <br />have a vote as a Commissioner on any matters coming before the City Commission. At the first <br />regular Commission meeting in December, the Commission shall elect a Vice Mayor from one of its members. The <br />Vice Mayor shall hold office for a term of one year or until a successor is elected. If a vacancy occurs, the office of <br />Vice Mayor shall be filled by the City Commission for the completion of the unexpired term. The Vice Mayor shall <br />act as the Mayor during the absence or disability of the Mayor. <br />City Charter Amendment 3: <br />REPEAL SECTION 6.03 AS UNNECESSARY SINCE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS <br />ESTABLISHED, AND DUE TO FIRE CONSOLIDATION. <br />Shall Article VI, Section 6.03 of the City Charter of the City of Casselberry, <br />entitled Public Safety, be repealed to eliminate all references to the Police <br />Department and the Fire Chief, because the City Fire Department has been <br />consolidated with Seminole County, and the Police Department is already <br />established by the City Commission in City Code? <br />YES for approval ❑ <br />NO for rejection ❑ <br />4 <br />
