Resolution 08 -1860 implements <br />the recommendation of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) that non - residential <br />properties in the City CRA District take advantage of the environmental and economic incentives <br />available through the S.E.E.D. Program. The CRA Board recommended approval of this program <br />at their meeting of October 12, 2007. Florida Statutes, Section 166.041, requires two advertised <br />public hearings. The second public hearing will be held on February 25, 2008. A copy of the <br />power point presentation outlining the benefit incentives is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. A corrected map, Exhibit "A" to Resolution 08 -1860 was distributed to the <br />Commission. <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Resolution 08 -1860 on first reading and present to the <br />Commission for the second reading and final public hearing on February 25, 2008. <br />Audience Input (A sign -in sheet was available for audience participants as required by Statues) <br />1) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, questioned why the <br />recommendation for the incentive program was just for non - residential properties. <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve Resolution 08- <br />1860, City S.E.E.D Incentive Program, with the corrected Exhibit <br />"A" Map. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Sandra T. <br />Solomon and carried unanimously on a 5 — 0 voice vote. <br />D. Resolution 08 -1861— Seminole Economic Enhancement District (SEED) Program <br />for City Properties in the Seminole County Community Redevelopment District <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 08 -1861 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THAT AREA BY MAP IDENTIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A" <br />HERETO FOR INCLUSION WITHIN THE S.E.E.D (SEMINOLE ECONOMIC <br />ENHANCEMENT DISTRICT) AND THE U.S. 17 -92 CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN AS A BROWNFIELD AREA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />REMEDIATION, REHABILITATION AND ECONOMIC REDEVELOPMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO NOTIFY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OF SAID DESIGNATION AS REQUIRED; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Legal Advertisement: Advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on January 31, 2008. <br />
