CITY OF CASSELBERRY CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING DECEMBER 10, 2015 The City of Casselbery held its regular Code Enforcement hearing Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., in the City of Casselbery Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselbeny, Florida. Luis R. Guzman, Special Magistrate, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. SPECIAL MAGISTRATE Luis R. Guzman PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE FORMAT FOR PROCEEDINGS The Special Magistrate read the format for proceedings. SWEARING IN OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE The Special Magistrate swore in those who would testify. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Special Magistrate approved minutes from the October 8, 2015 hearing. INTRODUCTION OF CASES Nathan Johnson, Code Compliance Officer advised that all events occurred within the corporate limits of the City of Casselbery. The Officer's notes, case narratives, testimony, photographs, supporting documents and PowerPoint presentation were all entered as part of the official record. CITY STAFF PRESENT Randy Woodruff, Development Services Manager Nathan Johnson, Code Compliance Officer Brenda Jones, Code Compliance- Coordinator/Recording Secretary Mr. Johnson asked the Special Magistrate if the agenda could be taken out of order to accommodate those present in the audience. REDUCTION REQUEST Overgrown _ property, ULDR Section 3 -10.3 • CE -12 -01196 427 Elm Dr Nathan Johnson, Code Compliance Officer gave testimony. Current lien amount: $9,825, administrative cost and claim $725.27 (paid), requested reduction amount to $500.00 as requested This lien was filed against former owner, Frances Nair, the current owner Surna Construction Group was not the violator. The City recommends a reduction to the requested amount of $500.00. This was a foreclosure property. All other fees associated with this address have also been paid, $552.00, making the total paid $ 1,277.27. The Special Magistrate asked if the owner /representative was present. A representative was present. Edward Terry, 550 Saint Dunstan Way, Winter Park, FL advised he is one of the owners of the property. I I P a g e
