CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 12, 2015 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 19 <br />derived from the Federal Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program and projects must benefit low to <br />moderate income neighborhoods per federal requirements. The contract was later amended to award funding <br />in the amount of $51,050 to Habitat for Humanity for one site (1481 Park Drive) due to the ineligibility of one <br />of the families that was previously qualified for the other site. <br />The City Commission approved the amended agreement with Seminole County on September 22, 2014. <br />Seminole County Board of County Commissioners approved the amended agreement on November 18, 2014. <br />Budget Impact: Upon approval of Budget Amendment #15 -021, General Fund Federal Grants account #001- <br />0000- 331.90 -00 and Aid to Private Organizations account #001 - 0211 - 515.80 -82 will increase in the amount of <br />$51,050. <br />BA # 15 -021 <br />Explanation of Request: this item seeks City Commission recognition of revenue received for the HOME <br />Program Grant Agreement with Seminole County and Habitat for Humanity that the City Commission <br />approved on November 18, 2014. The revenue from the grant needs to be recognized as received from <br />Seminole County as well as being disbursed when final payment is awarded to Habitat for Humanity. This <br />budget amendment recognizes both of those actions in the City's budget. This is a pass -thru Federal Grant. <br />The City donated land at 1481 Park Drive for this project. <br />Account Number Account Description Amount <br />Increase: <br />001 - 0000 - 331.90 -00 Federal Grant Pass Thru $51,050 <br />001 - 0211 - 515.80 -82 Aid to Private Organization $51,050 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager, the Finance Director and the Community Development Director <br />recommended approval of Budget Amendment #15 -021. <br />I. Use of Federal Treasury Equity Share Funds for Police Department Building <br />Improvements by Wharton- Smith, Inc. and Related Budget Amendment #15 -020 <br />Introduction: Use of Federal Treasury Equity Share Funds in the amount of $16,558 and approval of related <br />Budget Amendment #15 -020 provide for execution of an agreement with Wharton- Smith, Incorporated for <br />removal of a wall and installation of flooring in the Police Department fitness room and briefing room. <br />Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment # 15 -020 will increase Federal Treasury Equity Share Fund <br />Other Non-operating Sources account #121- 000 - 389.90 -00 and Building Improvements account #121 -0610- <br />521.62 -25 in the amount $16,558. <br />BA #15 -020 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval for costs associated with construction <br />services provided by Wharton- Smith, Incorporated for building improvements to the Police Department's new <br />fitness room and briefing room utilizing Federal Treasury Equity Share Funds. <br />
