CASSELBI' RRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of April 13, 2015 — Regular Meeting Page 4 of 16 BA #15 -032 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the lease pay -off of Fire Rescue vehicles which include a Sutphen Fire Engine in the amount of $255,403 and a Rescue Vehicle in the amount of $155,232 for a total amount of $410,635. Early pay -off is required due to fire consolidation with Seminole County. Account Number Increase: 001-0000-389.90-00 001 - 0310 - 522.44 -01 Account Description Amount Other Non - Operating Sources $410,635 Rentals and Leases — Capital Leases $410,635 Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of Budget Amendment #15 -032 to pay off the Fire Department capital leases. D. Request for Walmart Foundation Grant to Purchase Trees Introduction: Consideration to approve the submission of the Walmart Foundation Giant request in the amount of $1,500 to purchase trees as sponsors for Earth Fest/Arbor Day and other Green -Up Casselberry events and activities is requested. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval for submission of the Walmart Foundation Grant request in the amount of $1,500. E. Donation from State Law Enforcement Trust Fund and Related Budget Amendment #15 -034 Introduction: Consideration to donate $1,000 from State Law Enforcement Trust Fund to the 2015 Lyman High School Project G.R.A.D.D. program and related Budget Amendment #15 -034 are requested. Budget Impact: There will be no budget impact to the General Fund. The approval of this donation will result in the reduction of $1,000 from the State Law Enforcement Trust Fund account. Budget Amendment #15 -034 will establish the budget for this expenditure. BA #15 -034 Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment seeks Commission approval for the Police Department to donate $1,000.00 to the Lyman High School Project G.R.A.D.D. Program from the State Forfeiture funds account. This is a parent sponsored event created to offer graduating seniors a safe drug and alcohol -free environment in celebration of their accomplishments.
