CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Wished all mothers a Happy Mother's Day. <br />Thanked everyone who attended and assisted with EarthFest on May 2, 2105. He advised that 98 <br />vendors had participated in the event and 166 trees and 116 plants were given away, not including <br />those given out by vendor Duke Energy. He added that members of the Seminole County Board of <br />County Commissioners had recognized that the event was the largest in Seminole County and had <br />indicated a desire to add their support to next year's event. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />• Congratulated Commissioner Aramendia on a fabulous Earth Day event, noting it had been very well <br />attended and had a great vibe about it. <br />• Expressed Happy Mother's Day wishes to all mothers attending the meeting, and thanked the citizens <br />in attendance for their interest and support of the City. <br />Commissioner Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Added her congratulations to Commissioner Aramendia for the outstanding EarthFest event. <br />• Advised that the Relay for Life events at South Seminole Middle School and Casselberry Elementary <br />over the past weekend had been very successful <br />• Added that the Art & Music.in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event held every 2nd Friday continues <br />to be successful and keeps growing. <br />• Extended Mother's Day wishes to all mothers attending the meeting. <br />Vice Mayor Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Also extended thanks to Commissioner Aramendia, the staff and volunteers for their hard work at <br />EarthFest. She added that it was a wonderful event and she had been pleased to see the number of <br />volunteers participating. <br />• Reiterated her desire to link all the bike trails throughout Seminole County. <br />• Inquired about the status of the Seminole State College banners and was advised by Mr. Newlon that <br />there had been no new developments and staff was still working on the issue. <br />• Expressed pleasure about the work that had been done through the Neighborhood Improvement Grant <br />program and thanked staff for their commitment to the program. <br />
