At any hearing, the special magistrate may set a future <br />hearing date. All hearings before the special magistrate shall be open to <br />the public. <br />SECTION 6. Section 2 -149, Chapter 2, Administration, Article IV, Boards, Committees and <br />Commissions, Division 2, Code Enforcement Board, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br />Casselberry is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. . Jurisdiction. <br />The Code Enforcement Board and the Special Magistrate shall have the <br />jurisdiction and authority to hear and decide alleged violations of any ordinances <br />or codes in force in the City. The jurisdiction of the Board and Special Magistrate <br />shall not be exclusive. Any alleged violation of any codes or ordinances may be <br />pursued by additional or supplemental means, including appropriate remedy in <br />court, at the option of the administrative official whose responsibility it is to <br />enforce that respective code or ordinances. <br />SECTION 7. Section 2 -150, Chapter 2, Administration, Article IV, Boards, Committees and <br />Commissions, Division 2, Code Enforcement Board, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br />Casselberry is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 2-4602-151. Enforcement procedure. <br />(b) Except as provided in Subsections (c) and (d) of this Section, if a violation of a code <br />or ordinance is found, the Code Enforcement Officer shall notify the violator and give <br />him a reasonable time to correct the violation. If the violation continues beyond the <br />time specified for correction, the Code Enforcement Officer shall notify the Board and <br />request a hearing. The Board, through its clerical staff, shall schedule a hearing, and <br />written notice of the hearing shall be hand delivered or mailed as provided in Seetien <br />2 -456. Section 2 -157. At the option of the Code Enforcement Board, notice may <br />additionally be served by publication as provided in SeGtien `' 15 -. Section 2 -157. If <br />the violation is corrected and then recurs or if the violation is not corrected by the <br />time specified for correction by the Code Enforcement Officer, the case may be <br />presented to the Code Enforcement Board even if the violation has been corrected <br />prior to the board hearing and the notice shall so state. <br />(c) If a repeat violation is found, the Code Enforcement Officer shall notify the violator <br />but is not required to give the violator a reasonable time to correct the violation.
