Smith Community Development Department 95 Triplet Lake Drive Casselberry, FL 32707 -3399 ORDINANCE 14.1412 NINRYw,� Ian All P61NIG rlllb allj. tAOROEF) BY H Whore AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION; MAKING FINDINGS; ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 21, RANGE 30; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE INTERIM PROVISION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS; PROVIDING THAT EFFECTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW, THE LANDS TO BE ANNEXED SHALL BE ASSESSED FOR PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL AD VALOREM TAXES; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE ORDINANCE WITH THE CLERK OF COURT AND THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the owner(s) of certain lands more particularly described herein below, have requested that the same be annexed and incorporated into the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry, Florida; WHEREAS, the City Commission hereby finds that the property described hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the corporate areas of the City of Casselberry, Florida, and it is further determined that the annexation of said property will not result in the creation of any enclaves or pockets, and it is further determined that the property otherwise fully complies with the requirements of State law; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry, Florida, is in a position to effectively and efficiently provide municipal services to the property described herein and the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City to seek to annex said property; and WHEREAS, pursuant to, and in compliance with, the law, notice has been given by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation notifying the public of this proposed Ordinance and of public hearings to be held at City Hall in the City of Casselberry; and WHEREAS, the provisions of this Ordinance and the actions taken herein are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and State law; and WHEREAS, public hearings were held pursuant to the requirements of State law and in conformity with the published notice described above at which hearings the parties in interest and all others had an opportunity to be and were, in fact, heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The lands described in Schedule A (PIN: 20- 21 -30- 300 -OA1B -0000 & 20-21-30-300 - OA1 E -0000 and that portion of Wilshire Boulevard from the incorporated City limits to the right of way centerline), and shown on the map in Schedule B attached hereto, be and they are hereby annexed to and included within the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry, Florida.
