CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING <br />October 8, 2015 <br />The City of Casselberry held its regular Code Enforcement hearing Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., in the City of <br />Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Luis R. Guzman, Special Magistrate, <br />called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />SPECIAL MAGISTRATE <br />Luis R. Guzman <br />PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE <br />FORMAT FOR PROCEEDINGS <br />The Special Magistrate read the format for proceedings. <br />SWEARING IN OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE <br />The Special Magistrate swore in those who would testify. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Special Magistrate approved minutes from the August 13, 2015 hearing. <br />INTRODUCTION OF CASES <br />Carlos "Mike" Miguel Bauer, Lead Code Compliance Officer advised that all events occurred within the corporate limits <br />of the City of Casselberry. The Officer's notes, case narratives, testimony, photographs, supporting documents and <br />PowerPoint presentation were all entered as part of the official record. <br />CITY STAFF PRESENT <br />Randy Woodruff, Development Services Manager <br />Carlos "Mike" Bauer, Lead Code Compliance Officer <br />Nathan Johnson, Code Compliance Officer <br />Brenda Jones, Code Compliance- Coordinator/Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Bauer asked the Special Magistrate if the agenda could be taken out of order to accommodate those present in the <br />audience. <br />NEW CASE <br />City Code Section 26.44, Delinquency; Penalty for Failure to Obtain Local Business Tax Receipt <br />• CE -15 -00543 214 N Griffm Dr <br />Nathan Johnson, Code Compliance Officer gave testimony. The subject violation was found to not be corrected and the <br />property remains in violation of City Code Section 26.44, delinquency; penalty for failure to obtain local business tax <br />receipt. This is for the 2015 Business Tax Receipt. Therefore, staff requests an order that the violation be corrected by <br />October 15, 2015, or a fine of $75 per day be assessed for each day after October 15, 2015, until the payment is made. <br />The 2016 is also now delinquent as of October 1, 2015. <br />William Chappell, 214 N Griffm Dr gave testimony. Mr. Chappell advised that the nature of his business is advising but <br />he had no money coming in and has had health problems.
