CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />The Charter Review Committee of the City of Casselberry held its Organizational Meeting at 5:30 p.m., on <br />Wednesday, September 9, 2015, in the Casselberry Police Station Multi- Purpose Room, located at 4195 S. <br />U.S. Highway 17 -92, Casselberry, Florida. <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Nicolette (Vicki) D'Amato <br />Ana Van Meter <br />Nancy Valentine <br />Shannon Campbell <br />STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Catherine D. Reischmann, City Attorney <br />Donna G. Gardner, City Clerk <br />��1:\ If1111CIZ1 • � • <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner called the Organizational Meeting of the Casselberry Charter Review Committee <br />(CRC) to order at 5:31 p.m. Ms. Gardner welcomed the Committee Members and requested that everyone <br />introduce themselves. Those present included Committee Members Nicolette (Vicki) D'Amato, Ana Van <br />Meter, Nancy Valentine and Shannon Campbell. Also present were City Attorney Catherine D. Reischmann <br />and City Clerk Donna G. Gardner. <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />City Attorney Reischmann led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Gardner advised that due to the earlier introduction of the Committee Members, she would forego roll call <br />at this time. She advised that this was a five- member board; however, the fifth appointee to the Committee had <br />to decline his appointment due to work constraints. She stated that the remaining applications would be <br />presented at the next Commission meeting and a fifth Committee Member would be selected. She added that <br />the new member would receive a copy of the audiotape from tonight's meeting and the materials which were <br />provided in order to be informed for the next meeting. <br />4. "GOVERNMENT IN THE SUNSHINE" LAWS PRESENTATION <br />City Attorney Catherine Reischmann addressed the Committee and gave a PowerPoint presentation and <br />overview of the Government in the Sunshine laws and the Public Records Act, including examples of <br />violations and the related penalties. She advised the Committee that they were appointed public officials and <br />that all communications, regardless of form (written, electronic, or verbal) outside of public meetings of the <br />Charter Review Committee (CRC) fall under the Sunshine laws, and to govern themselves and their <br />communications accordingly.
