Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />May 13, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />Fifth Item of Business: CU 15.03: 80 Golden Days Drive. Request for a conditional use approval for a `drive -thru' at an <br />existing building located at 80 Golden Days Drive. The existing building will be used as a restaurant for take -out, <br />delivery, walkup window and `drive -thru' service. <br />Mr. Henson asked if the Commissioners had any Ex Parte Communications to disclose for CU 15 -03. No disclosure <br />of Ex Parte Communications was made by the Commissioners. <br />Ms. Marie Regan, Planner II, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated May 13, 2015 and a <br />PowerPoint presentation, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the PowerPoint is attached <br />and made a part of the minutes). Ms. Regan said staff recommends the Planning and Zoning Commission approve CU 15 -03, <br />conditional use for a drive -thru, for property located at 80 Golden Days Drive based on the information provided in the staff <br />report dated May 13, 2015, the site plan dated April 8, 2015 attached to the staff report and the six (6) conditions listed in the <br />staff report. <br />Mr. Henson asked the applicant to come forward. Mr. Glen Steinfeld, 1256 Scandia Terrace, Oviedo, Florida came <br />forward. Mr. Steinfeld said he was looking forward to doing business in Casselberry. The Commission had no questions for <br />the applicant. <br />Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the <br />request. Mr. Ed Strassberger, 516 Legacy Park Drive, Casselberry, Florida came forward. In response to Mr. Strassberger <br />question, Mr. Steinfeld said that the name of the business is Slices and Ices and it will be selling pizza, calzones, Italian Ice <br />etc. <br />In response to the Commission's question, Mr. Steinfeld said that there would be no seating inside the restaurant. <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address CU 15 -03. Mr. Van Meter made a motion that the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission approve CU 15 -03, conditional use for a drive -thru, for property located at 80 Golden Days <br />Drive based on the staff report dated May 13, 2015 and the six (6) conditions listed in the staff report. Mr. Wise seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: SP 15 -01: Kathryn Park Minor Subdivision. Request for a Minor Subdivision for Lots 1, 2, and <br />3, Block 9 of the Kathryn Park Addition Number One as recorded in Plat Book 5, Page 67. <br />Mr. Henson asked if the Commissioners had any Ex Parte Communications to disclose for SP 15 -01. No disclosure <br />of Ex Parte Communications was made by the Commissioners. <br />
