CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 2014 <br />The City of Casselberry held its regular Code Enforcement hearing Thursday, September <br />City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Magistrate, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />SPECIAL MAGISTRATE: <br />Luis R. Guzman <br />PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE <br />CITY STAFF PRESENT <br />Chad Lingenfelter, Development Services Manager <br />John Cecil, Lead Code Compliance Officer <br />Brenda Jones, Code Compliance- Coordinator <br />SWEARING IN OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE <br />The Special Magistrate swore in those who would testify. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Special Magistrate approved minutes from the August 14, 2014 hearing. <br />FORMAT FOR PROCEEDINGS <br />The Special Magistrate read the format for proceedings. <br />11, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., in the <br />Luis R. Guzman, Special <br />INTRODUCTION OF CASES <br />Chad Lingenfelter, Development Services Manager, introduced John Cecil as the new Code Compliance Officer; he has <br />joined the City since the last hearing. <br />SUBSEQUENT HEARINGS —IN COMPLIANCE FINE TO BE IMPOSED <br />No building pen-nit. City Code Section 1 -43 <br />• CE -14 -00551 1085 Belle Ave <br />Mr. Lingenfelter advised the Special Magistrate that the above case was for no building permit. At the last hearing on <br />8/14/2014, based on the findings, this violation was to be in compliance by 8/28/2014 or a $25.00 per day fine would be <br />imposed. The building permit for this violation was approved on 9/412014. The property was in violation for 7 days at <br />$25.00 per day. A fine of $175,00 should be imposed for the 7 days of violation. <br />FINDING OF FACT: The Special Magistrate made a finding for CE -14- 00551, 1085 Belle Ave, on the previous hearing <br />8/14/2014 that this court concluded that the property was in violation. A fine of $25 per day was imposed, starting <br />8/28/2014. The owner obtained a permit on 9/4/2014; therefor the property was in violation for 7 days.
