15-2753 Formal Extension of the CRA to December 11, 2017

WHEREAS, on June 23, 2015 the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners approved the City's request to extend the Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency to December 11, 2017 via Resolution 2015 -R -106; and WHEREAS, this action was advertised as a public hearing in the Orlando Sentinel on July 16, 2015. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission does hereby find it is appropriate, proper, timely and in the best interest of the citizens of Casselberry and Seminole County that the term of the Casselberry CRA be extended an additional two years to December 11, 2017. SECTION II. The City Commission hereby formally authorizes the extension of the term of the Casselberry CRA to December 11, 2017 for the purpose of providing funding to the Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency via the additional revenues that would be available through the receipt of additional tax increment financing revenues. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional in any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
