Section 3 Employment Responsibilities. <br />(a) Transferred Employees. <br />(1) Definition and Scope. Subsequent to the following terms and conditions, <br />all CITY employees, as designated in Attachment "A ", will be transferred to and be employed by <br />COUNTY effective October 1, 2015, and will thereafter have the same rights and responsibilities <br />as are applicable to other similarly situated COUNTY employees. These employees will be <br />referred to in this Agreement as "Transferred Employees." <br />(2) Employment Application. All Transferred Employees will be required to <br />complete a COUNTY Employment application and will be required to meet the minimum job <br />hiring requirements of COUNTY to include a pre - employment fitness for duty physical, <br />successfully passing IPAT testing and a criminal background and driver's license check before <br />entering service with COUNTY. <br />(3). Transferred Employees Are Not CITY Employees. All Transferred <br />Employees and any other fire suppression and EMS personnel employed by COUNTY in <br />performance of such services, functions and responsibilities as described and contemplated in <br />this Agreement for CITY will be and remain COUNTY employees. None of the Transferred <br />Employees may be considered to be in the employ of CITY for any purpose whatsoever to <br />include any combination of the following without reservation: insurance benefits, compensation, <br />pension benefits, a collective bargaining relationship, or any other status, right, privilege, or <br />enjoyment. <br />(4) CITY's Limited Responsibility for Transferred Employees. CITY does <br />not assume and expressly disclaims any liability for, or any direct payment of, any salaries, <br />wages, or other compensation, contributions to pension funds, insurance premiums, workers' <br />Fire and Emergency Medical Services Interlocal Agreement <br />Seminole County / City of Casselberry <br />Page 4 of 20 <br />
