Future Land Use change from Recreation Open <br />Space to Medium Density Residential for the properties east of the Seminola Boulevard and Button Road <br />intersection. <br />Mr. Jason Sorensen, Planner, requested this item be continued to the February 12, 2014 Planning and <br />Zoning Commission meeting. Mr. Meadows asked for a motion to address LPA 14 -01. Mr. Wadley made a motion to <br />continue this item to the February 12, 2014 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Mr. Bryan seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: ZB 14 -01. Zoning Change to PRD: Seasons. Zoning district change from Recreation <br />Open Space and Residential 12.5 (R -12.5) to Planned Residential Development (PRD) for the properties east <br />of the Seminola Boulevard and Button Road intersection. <br />Mr. Jason Sorensen, Planner, requested this item be continued to the February 12, 2014 Planning and <br />Zoning Commission meeting. Mr. Meadows asked for a motion to address ZB 14 -01. Mr. Wadley made a motion to <br />continue this item to the February 12, 2014 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Mr. Van Meter seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />The agenda order was modified. <br />Seventh Item of Business: CRA 14 -01: Community Redevelopment Agency Extension Request. Courtesy <br />review of CRA plan update and compliance with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. Kyle Dudgeon, Economic Development Planner, introduced Mr. Phil Gonot, PMG Associates, Inc. to the <br />Commission. Mr. Gonot reviewed a PowerPoint presentation (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). <br />Mr. Gonot requested the Planning and Zoning Commission review the information and determine if the CRA Plan <br />Update is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. Meadows asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br />to, the request. Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, Casselberry, Florida came forward to speak against this <br />request. Mr. Fraleigh said this is to spend tax dollars that should not be used at all. He said property owners are <br />supposed to be responsible for their own property. He said the government is getting involved in private property, <br />manipulating the property, and property values. Mr. Fraleigh said that Mr. Gonot said that the City approved the <br />flyover project. He said the citizens did not approve the flyover project. He said the City lost several businesses due <br />to the road project. Mr. Fraleigh said that we do not need to extend the CRA term. He said we need property owners <br />making their own decisions. <br />
