Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />September 11, 2013 <br />Page 3 <br />Mr. Meadows asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the <br />request. No one came forward. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding considering flags under the permanent signage code requirements for both <br />residential and commercial, changing Section 2, A.1(c)(i) and A.2(c)(i) of the ordinance from edge of pavement to edge of <br />roadway and to allow a maximum square footage of signage for the site including a maximum square footage per sign for <br />residential sites. <br />It was decided that staff would do some additional research to determine the size of a typical political yard sign and <br />would make the necessary changes to the ordinance based on tonight's discussions. The Commission summarized their <br />discussion: <br />1. A typical political sized sign — number of signs not to exceed 5 (residential) <br />2. No single residential sign larger than 6 square feet <br />3. Maximum height 10' on commercial and 5' on residential <br />4. Maximum 50 square feet of copy area for non residential <br />Mr. Meadows asked for a motion to address LPA 13 -07, Mr. Wadley made a motion to continue this item until the <br />next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Mr. Bryan seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice <br />vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: CU 13 -10: 515 Queens Mirror Circle /F. Tunnissen. Conditional use request for a dock in a CG <br />zoning district. <br />Mr. Jason Sorensen, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated September 11, 2013, to <br />the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development Department), Mr. <br />Sorensen presented a PowerPoint presentation (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). <br />Mr. Sorensen said Staff recommends approval of this conditional use request for a dock located 515 Queens Mirror <br />Circle. He said the motion should be based on the staff report dated September 11, 2013, the site drawing attached as <br />Exhibit A to the staff report, the Planning and Zoning Commission's findings of fact, and the following conditions: <br />1. The conditional use shall be limited to the proposed dock structure. The dock shall not be enlarged or enhanced <br />in any way without additional conditional use approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />2. The construction and maintenance of the dock shall be in accordance with the requirements of all applicable <br />state agencies, the City Engineer's conditions of approval, and the City's ULDR. <br />
