Mr. Casselberry suggested the City spend money on <br />tree education. He said trees planted on the east or west side of a structure helps reduce power bills. Mr. <br />Casselberry felt that concrete parking lots for commercial sites would save trees because of the heat generated by <br />the asphalt. <br />Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Fraleigh suggested that the <br />City's Tree Advisory Committee should hold a meeting so the public can provide input to the Committee. Mr. <br />Fraleigh suggested the Commission address the issue of a tree encroaching into the adjacent property that is a <br />danger. Mr. Fraleigh expressed a concern with the burden placed on a property owner for replacing a dead tree. He <br />said each property is distinct and the ruling would need to change according to the needs of the individual. <br />Mr. Wadley agreed that tree /plant education was a good idea and there are many groups that provide that <br />information.
