All were present. <br />5. MINUTES <br />No minutes were presented for consideration. <br />6. PRESENTATIONS /COMMENDATIONS <br />A. TD Green Streets Grant <br />Assistant Public Works Director /City Engineer Kelly Brock gave a brief overview of the City's Green Up <br />Casselberry program which began in 2010. He then gave a presentation about the TD Green Streets Grant <br />which had been awarded to the City in 2013. He explained that this was a new grant that had been established <br />by TD Bank in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. He further explained that they had made $200,000 <br />available for ten cities in the United States, and the City of Casselberry was one of the ten selected. He added <br />that the City of Casselberly was awarded $20,000 for the purpose of supporting innovative practices in <br />community forestry. He advised that the five project components under the grant were as follows: <br />• Earth Fest 2013 <br />• Founder's Day Celebration <br />• Plumosa Oaks Park Restoration (11/16) <br />• Wetland Tree Restoration at Casselberly Greenway Trailhead (11/23) <br />• SR 436/US 17 -92 Flyover Tree Preservation & West of 17 -92 Neighborhoods Streetscape <br />Enhancement Project (Area 9) <br />Dr. Brock explained that additional funding for purchase of trees was provided through the City's Tree Fund, <br />and that projects funded by the grant would be wrapped up by the end of November to comply with the grant <br />agreement. He stated that the project partners for the Green Up Casselberry included: City of Casselberry; <br />TD Bank; Arbor Day Foundation; Casselberry Friends of the Park; Seminole County UF/1FAS Extension; <br />Keep Seminole Beautiful; Hands On Orlando; and Florida Department of Transportation in additional to other <br />vendors who participated in the Earth Fest. He then introduced Ms. Rene' O'Day, who was present at the <br />meeting representing TD Bank. Ms. O'Day expressed appreciation to the City for their efforts and stated she <br />appreciated the opportunity to partner with the City and looked forward to other opportunities in the future. <br />Mayor Glancy thanked Dr. Brock for the presentation and his efforts in procuring the grant, and thanked TD <br />Bank and the Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of the City for granting the TD Green Streets grant to support <br />the Green Up Casselberry Program. <br />
