Resolution 13 -2542 — Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Design Services for Forest Brook Force Main Replacement and Related Budget Amendment # 14 -003 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO.2 WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE FOREST BROOK FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 13 -2542 approves Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for design services for Forest Brook Force Main Replacement for an amount not to exceed $88,372, and authorizes the Mayor execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration of related Budget Amendment #14-00' ) is also requested. Budget Impact: Funding in the amount of $65,000 was budgeted and is available in the Distribution and Collection Infrastructure Account #401 - 0751 - 536.63 -40. Budget Amendment #14 -003 is necessary to provide the remaining $23,372 from account #401- 0751 - 536.67 -35 Machinery & Other Equipment. BA #14 -003 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide additional funding for Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for engineering design services related to the Forrest Brook Force Main Replacement Project. Public works initially budgeted $65,000 in FY 2014 to cover design services related to this project. However, the design cost estimate submitted by Reiss Engineering, Inc. ($88,372) is higher than expected. It is recommended that funding to cover this work is re- appropriated from the Forrest Brook Pump Station project, and un- related project, as it is projected that the cost to construct the Forrest Brook Pump Station will come in significantly under budget.
