Resolution 13 -2540 — Acceptance of Seminole County Affordable Housing Grant <br />Award and Related Home Program Agreement with Seminole County and Habitat for <br />Humani <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING GRANT AWARD AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A <br />HOME PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH SEMINOLE COUNTY AND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY <br />OF SEMINOLE COUNTY AND GREATER APOPKA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2540 accepts the Affordable Housing Grant Award in the amount of $183,050 <br />through the Federal Home Investment Partnerships Program for the construction of new single- family housing <br />in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, approves the Home Program Agreement with Seminole County and <br />Habitat for Humanity of Seminole and Greater Apopka, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on <br />behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: A budget amendment to provide for the related revenue and expenditures will be <br />forthcoming after the agreement has been formally approved by the Seminole County Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Interim Community Development Director recommended <br />approval of Resolution 13 -2540. <br />C. Resolution 13 -2541 — Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for the Florida <br />Yards & Neighborhoods Program <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE FLORIDA YARDS AND NEIGHBORHOODS PROGRAM; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2541 approves the Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for the Florida <br />Yards and Neighborhoods Program (FYN) over a five -year period at a total cost of $20,000, and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: The annual program cost is $4,000. Sufficient funds have already been budgeted in Fiscal <br />Year 2014 in the Stormwater Utility Fund for the purpose of funding this program. Cost for the remaining four <br />years will be budgeted accordingly. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />13 -2541. <br />
