CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 14, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 11 <br />Consensus: The Commission agreed by consensus to direct the City Manager to work <br />with staff to schedule a workshop to address the lighting options issue <br />with Duke Energy. <br />Discussion: Additional brief discussion ensued regarding lighting issues. <br />Consensus: The Commission agreed by consensus to direct staff to move forward with <br />the project as planned to date. <br />Commissioner Fry requested that a cost estimate be provided for the boardwalk planned for Veteran's Park. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. <br />Ms. Marilyn Jenquin, 283 Thomas Drive, stated she made use of Veteran's Park to rest during <br />her walks around the neighborhood, and she felt it was a nice little park for those living in the <br />area. <br />Mr. John Casselberty, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced his opinion that Citizen Comments <br />should be heard prior to the Consent Agenda to allow for input to be made prior to a vote <br />being taken. He also voiced some concerns regarding proposed improvements to the boat <br />ramp area on Middle Lake Triplet and parking for the City's smaller parks. <br />Mayor Glancy passed the gavel to Vice Mayor Solomon and left the Commission Chambers at 5:41 p.m. <br />3. Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, expressed concerns about proposed improvements to <br />the City's streets and drainage systems, stating that he felt citizens were not allowed input into <br />those decisions. He also voiced concerns about what he perceived to be police misconduct <br />against him in relation to his arrest at a City Commission meeting in 2010 and felt an <br />investigation should be conducted. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14.
