Purchase of Motorola Portable Radios and Related Budget Amendment # 13 -072 <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to purchase Motorola portable radios in the amount of <br />$24,900 for the Fire Department's emergency operations and preparedness cache and related Budget <br />Amendment # 13 -072. <br />Budget Impact: Funding is available in the FY 12 -13 Budget. However, Budget Amendment 413 -072 is <br />necessary to increase the Fire Department's capital Machinery & Equipment/Radio /Communication Equipment <br />account #001- 0310- 522.67 -13 and decrease the Fire Department's operational Contractual Services account <br />#001 - 0310 - 522.34 -00 and Repair and Maintenance account #001 - 0310 - 522.46 -00. <br />BA #13 -072 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks Commission approval to transfer $24,900 in funding from <br />operational accounts to a capital account for the purchase of portable radios for the Fire Department's <br />emergency operations and preparedness cache. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 4 -0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Fry stated he would like to see a more in -depth analysis of the possibility of getting some <br />western movement in the City and a joint planning agreement with the County. He added that he felt utilizing <br />some of the consultants who had been working on the City Center project would be appropriate for looking <br />into this in terms of connectivity and vision and what it could mean for Casselberry. <br />
