CASSELBERRY CITY COMbIISSION <br />Minutes of September 23, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 17 <br />announcing that the canoes and kayaks are available for rental. Mr. Newlon advised that he would <br />discuss the signage issue with staff. <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Congratulated Chief Harkins on October being declared " Casselberry Fire Department Appreciation <br />Month ", and expressed appreciation for all the Fire Department does and brings to the community. <br />• Congratulated Sara Brady on celebrating three successful years in her public relations firm. <br />• Reported she and some friends had attended the last Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event <br />and it was a wonderful event. She commended all those who worked to put on the event. <br />• Advised that the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce's Food and Wine Festival would be held <br />Monday, November 4, 2013 in Lake Concord Park. She added that the proceeds from the event go <br />towards the Art House, the Casselberry Elementary School food pantry, and scholarships for <br />graduating seniors. <br />• Reported she had attended a Florida League of Cities Legislative Policy Committee meeting in <br />Jacksonville on Friday and gave an overview of some of the issues discussed. <br />• Clarified that advertising for the City's events is usually donated by the sponsors. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />• Thanked Commissioner Hufford for her report on the Legislative Policy Committee meeting. <br />• Stated that the upcoming Concert in the Park on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. featuring Ed <br />Calle and Chieli Minucci in the entertainment lineup was going to be a great event. <br />• Suggested that anyone with questions regarding the planned luxury apartments for the City Center <br />project go to the website for Integra Land Company and view their existing projects. She also advised <br />that contact information was available on the website, and if desired, representatives would be <br />available to conduct personal tours of nearby projects, which would give a better understanding ofthe <br />product that is being proposed for Casselberry. <br />• Thanked the audience for their attendance and participation in the meeting, and reminded them that a <br />workshop would be scheduled in the near future for further discussion of the City Center project. <br />• Congratulated Sara Brady on the anniversary of her firm. <br />• Wished Commissioner Hufford a happy birthday. <br />18.
