CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 23, 2013 — Special Meeting <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />7. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, expressed concerns about constitutional freedoms and <br />water quality issues, and commented on the Stand Your Ground Law. <br />2. Mr. John Casselberly, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about ad valorem taxes <br />and their effect on the economy, noting he felt a service tax at the state level would be more <br />beneficial. <br />No one else came forward. <br />Each of the Commissioners thanked Senator Simmons and Representative Castor Dentel for taking the time to <br />attend the meeting and share information about their legislative initiatives. The Commission also thanked and <br />commended Commissioner Hufford for her part in organizing the meeting. <br />Additional discussion ensued regarding various issues which were of concern to the Commissioners, including <br />environmental and water quality issues; education and Common Core standards; privacy issues; the Stand Your <br />Ground Law; safety issues; and human trafficking. <br />8.
