She said that the business owner said he would relocate his business to another municipality <br />when his lease expires in December. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the use of protest/advertising signs for the Cash for Gold business. Ms. <br />Smith stated that the Code Enforcement Board found the business in violation. Ms. Smith stated that the Cash for <br />Gold business has designed new signs and based on the City Attorney's review it is a true intertwining of <br />constitutionally protected free speech as well as commercial speech. She said at this time the business is allowed to <br />use their signs. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding safety concerns regarding the distractions caused by the sign spinners <br />and the free publicity these businesses receive due to these issues. <br />A photo opportunity for the CRA Board regarding the Applebee's Restaurant demolition was discussed. Ms. <br />Smith stated that staff would contact the Board regarding the schedule for the demolition. <br />Fifth Item of Business: Public Comments <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry said <br />if Ding Bikes displayed its merchandise on the sidewalk it could be a potential liability to the business.
