Community Redevelopment Agency <br />June 5, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Mark Wilkerson, Vice President of Operations for the Orlando market, came forward. Mr. Wilkerson said <br />they are very excited to be opening a restaurant in Casselberry. In response to the Board's question, Mr. Wilkerson <br />said that the Casselberry Applebee's Restaurant is a franchise owned restaurant and the franchisee owns 51 <br />restaurants in central Florida. <br />Mr. Jones asked for a motion to address the application and approval of funds for the Applebee's <br />Restaurant. Mr. Trueba made a motion to approve the incentive funding request for Applebee's Restaurant, Mr. <br />Alfred seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Fourth Item of Business: Other Business <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding canceling the June 13, 2013 CRA meeting and scheduling a meeting <br />for July 11, 2013. Mr. McGregor made a motion to cancel the June 13, 2013 and schedule a meeting for July 11, <br />2013. Mr. Alfred seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Mr. Kyle Dudgeon, Economic Development Planner, provided an update on the Multi- Cultural Media <br />Solutions. He said that the majority of the work has been completed. He said the property owner has health issues <br />which have caused delays in finalizing the project. Mr. Dudgeon estimated the work would be completed by the <br />August 29, 2013 deadline as stated in the agreement. He said should it be necessary the agreement does allow for <br />a 6 month extension. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the status of Walter Judge's project at Grassy Lake, Ms. Lynch stated <br />that the City is waiting on the executed utility easement paperwork from the adjacent property owner which is <br />required to complete the sewer line. <br />In response to the Board's question regarding the newspaper article regarding Ding Bikes, Ms. Smith <br />explained that the business located in Casselberry in December 2012. She said that the business displayed <br />merchandise in the parking lot inhibiting traffic circulation and parking on the site, failed to obtain a business tax <br />receipt and failed to obtain a sign permit. Ms. Smith stated staff pursued code enforcement action regarding these <br />issues. She said the Code Enforcement Board gave the business owner 60 days to apply to the City for a site plan <br />modification to allow for a screened outdoor storage area. She said that the item was taken to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission for their review. Ms. Smith said the applicant did not want to screen the outdoor storage and <br />
