CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING <br />AUGUST 8, 2013 <br />Officer Hull gave testimony for the above cases. <br />MOTION: Mr. Smith moved to find Respondents in the above cases in violation of the City Code as <br />charged and that Respondents correct the violation before 1:00 p.m. on 08/22/2013. In the event <br />Respondent does not comply by this date, a fine in the amount of $25.00 per day will be imposed for each <br />day the violation continues past the aforestated date. The Respondents are further ordered to contact the <br />Code Compliance Officer to verify compliance with this Order. Mr. Herron seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />Exterior lighting, ULDR Section 3- 10.2.6 <br />• CE -13 -00573 1040 Seminola Blvd <br />Officer Hull gave testimony for the above case. The Family Dollar store has failed to pass their <br />photometric inspection on February 27, 2013, required to correct by March 27, 2013. The City <br />requests the property owner be given 30 days to come into compliance or a fine of $50.00 per day <br />until there is compliance. <br />Jason Sorensen, Planner I advised that this store had recently opened up the beginning of this year, <br />normally all inspections would have to pass to get the certificate of occupancy, including <br />photometric inspection. The City didn't want to hold it up, so as a business friendly gesture they <br />were allowed to get their certificate of occupancy, with the understanding this would be a violation <br />after March 27, 2013. At an inspection on August 7, 2013 the two photometric readers has 2 <br />different readings of the light. It is not known whose device was incorrect. The City will be getting <br />their instrument calibrated and the electrician would get a third and forth device. There were also <br />violation of fixtures that need shading to prevent glare and light poles need to have frosting on the <br />glass to reduce glare of shading. <br />MOTION: Mr. Smith moved to find Respondent in this case in violation of the City Code as charged and <br />that Respondent correct the violation before 1:00 p.m. on 09/11/2013. In the event Respondent does not <br />comply by this date, a fine in the amount of $25.00 per day will be imposed for each day the violation <br />continues past the aforestated date. The Respondent is further ordered to contact the Code Compliance <br />Officer to verify compliance with this Order. Mr. Herron seconded the motion. The City requests a standing order for the above <br />case. <br />MOTION: Mr. Bakalla moved to find Respondents in this case was in violation of City Code as charged <br />and failed to correct the violation by the time specified for correction by the Code Compliance Officer; <br />that the violation is now corrected and no fine imposed.
