Code Enforcement Board Appointments <br />Introduction: Applications are being presented for consideration for appointments to the Code Enforcement <br />Board. <br />Background: There are two (2) vacancies currently on the Code Enforcement Board. In January 2013, the <br />City Commission deferred action to fill the existing vacancy for the alternate member position. In May 2013, <br />Mr. Glendon Weatherholtz resigned from the Code Enforcement Board creating the second vacancy. <br />Discussion: The term for the regular member appointment is effective to January 2016. The term for the <br />alternate member is effective to January 2014. The following individuals have applied for the Code <br />Enforcement Board: <br />Jeanne Aparicio <br />Loy (John) Awbrey <br />Valerie Boldt <br />Cal Fisher <br />Randy Shuler <br />Anthony Van Ore <br />862 Moonlit Lane <br />116 Northmoor Road <br />135 Carriage Hill Drive <br />1533 Canterbury Circle <br />413 Sundown Trail <br />2028 Manhattan lane <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended the City Commission consider the <br />submitted applications for appointments to the Code Enforcement Board to fill existing vacancies on the board. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Valerie Boldt to the Code <br />Enforcement Board, to fill an unexpired regular member term effective <br />to January 2016. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Jeanne Aparicio to the <br />Code Enforcement Board as the alternate member, term effective to <br />January 2014. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Solomon. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />
