Resolution 13 -2484 — TD Green Streets Grant Recipient Agreement 2013) and Related
Budget Amendment #13 -042
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA,
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE TD GREEN STREETS GRANT
RECIPIENT AGREEMENT (2013) WITH THE ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION FOR A GREEN UP
CASSELBERRY PROGRAM PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND
EFFECTIVE DATE."
Introduction: Resolution 13 -2484 approves the TD Green Streets Grant Recipient Agreement (2013) in the
amount of $20,000, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration
of related Budget Amendment #13 -042 is also requested.
Budget Impact: The grant will award the City $20,000 on a reimbursement basis to cover specifically the
costs of transplanting trees and a limited number of azalea plantings. The grant submittal included a proposed
in -kind match with an estimated value of $35,558. This match is a combination of volunteer time, staff time,
routine operating expenses, and fiulding from the Tree Fund. Of this match, only the Tree Fund portion needs
to be formally recognized at this time, as other operating expenses proposed are routinely incorporated into the
City's budget. A total of $7,920 in Tree Fund dollars was proposed as a match, intended to fund the planting
of cypress trees in Area 9. This is less than the estimated amount called for in the latest iteration of the
Neighborhood Improvement Program for this area. Budget Amendment # 13 -042 recognizes both the revenue
from the grant and also formally allocates Tree Fund monies to be used as a match component.
