CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 8, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 17 <br />Commissioner Gene Fry — Seat No. 2: <br />® Reported that he had been meeting with various City staff over the past couple of weeks and had been <br />impressed with the depth of knowledge of the employees. Added that he will be meeting with the <br />Chief of Police and will have his formal tour of the Police Department this week. <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Commented on the passing of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. <br />• Thanked the Commission on their support of her concerns about the clothing recycling bins in the <br />City. <br />• Gave an update on the status of pension reform and other legislation pending in Tallahassee. <br />• Spoke at Casselberiy Women's Chamber Luncheon about volunteerism and getting involved in the <br />community. <br />Vice Mayor Sandra Solomon — Seat No. 3: <br />® Commended City staff for all they do and all their accomplishments. <br />® Reported she also attended the art reception at the Art House and it was a great event. <br />® Called attention to a good article in today's Orlando Sentinel Business Section regarding taxes. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />Reported she had attended the PSFPC (Public Schools Facilities Planning Committee) meeting on <br />March 14`h , and the latest draft of the Interlocal Agreement had been agreed on . She added that the <br />School District still needed to review it and add its continents, and PSFPC had suggested that it be <br />completed and distributed to the respective signatories for legal and executive review by March 20`i'. <br />Ms. Reischmann indicated she had not yet received it for review, but would check on it. <br />Distributed copies of an opinion letter she had received from Ms. Julia Kostas of the Florida <br />Commission on Ethics regarding questions which had arisen at the last Commission meeting relating <br />to conflicts of interest. <br />There being no further business, Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 9:05 p.m. <br />
