CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING <br />JULY 11, 2013 <br />NEW CASES - STANDING ORDER REQUEST <br />Recreational equipment, ULDR Section 3- 10.9(c) <br />® CE -13 -00420 390 Frances Ave <br />Recreational equipment, ULDR Section 3- 10.9(c) <br />® CE -13 -00424 1024 Crystal Bowl Cir <br />Officer Hull advised the Board that this case had complied prior to this meeting date, and the City <br />requested a standing order for any future violations of the same code. <br />MOTION: Mr. Herron moved to find Respondents in this case were in violation of City Code as charged <br />and failed to correct the violation by the time specified for correction by the Code Compliance Officer; <br />that the violation is now corrected and no fine imposed. Any violation of the same code by Respondents <br />within FIVE (5) years from the date of this Order shall be treated as a repeat violation, for which a fine of <br />up to $500.00 per day may be imposed. Mr. Bakalla seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />REDUCTION REQUEST <br />OVERGROWN TRASH DEBRIS ULDR SECTION 3 -10.3 <br />® CE -12 -01848 80 CHANEY DR <br />Officer Hull advised the above case is being heard to consider a waiver request. Former officer <br />Leonard failed to properly notice the home owner. All notices were sent to the property address, <br />rather than the Winter Park address on the Seminole tax record. Based on the fact that the home <br />owner was not properly noticed the City recommends a reduction in the lien from $8,850.00 to <br />$150.00. There are no violations on the property at this time and there is a pending sale. <br />Bruce McHenry, 3668 Watercress Dr; Longwood, FL 32779 gave testimony. Mr. McHenry advised <br />that the buyers were present and they hope to close in a few weeks. <br />MOTION: Mr. Smith moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien will be <br />reduced in this case from $8,050.00 to $150.00. Ms. Boldt seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Trash and debris, ULDR Section 70 -2 (c) <br />® CE -09 -01279 370 Piney Ridge Rd <br />Officer Hull advised the above case is being heard to consider a waiver request. The property owner <br />was not present and has asked that the City present on her behalf. The property owner was granted a <br />payment arrangement of 10 $250.00 payments, 7 payments were made for a total of $1,750.00. The <br />property owner is requesting the remaining $750.00 to be waived, due to her husband passing away <br />and now receiving less money. <br />MOTION: Mr. Smith moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien <br />balance will be reduced in this case from $750.00 to zero. The reason is the customer has shown in <br />
