10-1343 Amending ULDR - screens for commercial vehicles and RV's

ORDINANCE 10 -1343 WHEREAS, parking business related vehicles in residential districts detracts from the residential character of the City's neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the City Commission understands that residents using business related vehicles which may include attachments and accessories are sometimes necessary for the economic well -being of residents or to ensure quicker response to emergency situations; and WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes that business related vehicles, when parked in a residential district, should be parked to protect the appearance of, and protect the value of, the residential districts; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance 10 -1314 that provides for an eight foot high fence to screen both business related vehicles and recreational equipment, that eliminates the thirty five foot maximum length of recreational equipment; and WHEREAS, these requirements become effective on February 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has subsequently determined that an eight foot high fence is required for business related vehicles but fences for recreational equipment may be between six and eight feet in height; and
