SECTION 2. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended by <br />adding a new section to be numbered Section 3- 16.4(E), which Section shall read as follows: <br />E. Road Construction sianaae. The following signs shall be allowed for businesses whose primary <br />roadway is SR 436, US HWY 17 -92. or Seminola Boulevard during any period of road <br />construction in front of said business space projected to last for a period of six months or more <br />and involving more than one half mile of continuous roadway. Such signs are allowed only for the <br />duration of the roadway construction but not to exceed 24 months unless an extension is aranted <br />by the City. A tenant or premise shall have a permitted permanent sign prior to issuance of a <br />permit for a temporary sign for road construction. <br />1. Banners. One banner sign shall be allowed per tenant space. Such banner sign shall not <br />exceed a height of three (3) feet and a length of not more than 75 percent of the frontaae <br />of the tenant space or sixteen (16) feet, whichever is less. The banner signs in a multi - <br />tenant center shall be uniform in background color, height of placement on the building <br />facade and font type, color and size to be approved by the City. Banner signs must be <br />substantially attached to the building, as opposed to being mounted on poles. <br />2. Trailer sign. Multi- tenant buildings may be allowed one trailer sign for the duration of the <br />road construction. The trailer sign shall either specifically identify the multi- tenant center <br />or be used to identify individual tenants within the center. The trailer sign shall otherwise <br />conform to the requirements of this Section. <br />SECTION 3: CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of <br />the Code of Ordinance of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that the Sections of this Ordinance may be <br />renumbered or re- lettered to accomplish such intention; that the word, "Ordinance" may be changed to <br />"Section," "Article," or other appropriate word, <br />SECTION 4: CONFLICTS. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 5. SEVERASILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Ordinance proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of <br />any other Section or part of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 6: EFFECTIVE DATE.
