WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined it is in the best interest of the citizens of <br />Casselberry to adopt this Ordinance which sets forth regulations governing the purchase and disposition of <br />personal property made of secondary metals by dealers in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, words with double underlined type shall constitute additions to the original text and <br />strike thFG* shall constitute deletions to the original text. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ENACTED by the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />SECTION 1. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended by <br />adding a new article to be numbered Article VI, Secondary Metals, which Article shall read as follows; <br />Chapter 26. Businesses <br />Article VI. Secondary Metals <br />Section 26136. Purpose. It is the purpose of this Article to set forth regulations governing the <br />purchase and disposition of personal property made of secondary metals by dealers within the Citv of <br />Casselberry. <br />Section 26137. Definitions. <br />Ferrous metals — any metals containing significant quantities of iron or steel. <br />Fixed location — any site occupied by a secondary metals recvcler as owner of the site or as lessee <br />of the site under a lease or other rental agreement providing for occupation of the site by the <br />secondary metals recvcler for a total duration of not less than 364 days. <br />Money — a medium of exchange authorized or adopted by a domestic or foreign government as <br />part of its currency. <br />Nonferrous metals — metals not containing significant quantities of iron or steel, including. without <br />limitation copper, brass aluminum bronze ead zinc nickel, and alloys thereof, excluding <br />precious metals subject to regulation under Part I, Chapter 538, Florida Statutes, as may be <br />amended from time to time. <br />Purchase Transaction — a transaction in which a secondary metals recvcler gives consideration for <br />regulated metals property. <br />Ordinance 11 -1359 <br />Page 2 <br />
