(a) A public emergency may be declared because of civil unrest when the Police Chief certifies
<br />to the City Manager that an emergency condition arising from hostile actions of others,
<br />armed or unarmed, requires extraordinary measures for control, including but not limited to
<br />curfew, blockade, proscription of the sale of firearms and n+he weapons, alcoholic
<br />beverages, explosives and combustibles, evacuation and other like actions.
<br />SECTION 3. That Section 58 -76, Discharge of Weapons, Article IV, Offenses Against Public Safety,
<br />Chapter 58, Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions, Part II, Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry,
<br />Florida is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />Sec. 58 -76. - Discharge of weapons.
<br />(a) Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this Section, shall have
<br />the meanings ascribed to them in this Subsection, except where the context clearly
<br />indicates a different meaning:

<br />R 1—Bow means any weapon which, through mechanical action or kinetic energy, propels an
<br />arrow, bolt, dart or other projectile.
<br />@) U2 —Crossbow means any weapon consisting of a bow set transversely on a stock which,
<br />through mechanical action or kinetic energy, propels an arrow, bolt, dart or other projectile.
<br />(4) U3 _BB gun, air gun and gas- operated gun mean any weapon which, through the release of
<br />compressed air or gases, propels a BB, dart, pellet or other projectile.
<br />(5) 14 _Destructive device means any explosive, incendiary, poisonous gas, bomb, grenade, mine,
<br />rocket, missile or similar device or apparatus which is designed to or may readily be
<br />converted to explode and through the effect of blast, flash, heat, fragments or projectiles
<br />cause damage or injury to person or property.
<br />(6) 5- Weapon includes any of those devices defined in F.S. ch. 790 as weapons or firearms.
<br />(b) Prohibited acts. Any person who knowingly discharges a weapon, firearm, bow, crossbow,
<br />BB gun, air gun, gas- operated gun or destructive device within the City limits, except as
<br />set forth in Subsection (c) of this Section, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first
<br />degree punishable as provided in F.S. § 775.082 or 775.083.
<br />SECTION 4. That Section 60 -9, Firearms /fireworks /destructive devices /weapons, Chapter 60,
<br />Parks and Recreation, Part II, Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida is hereby amended to
<br />read as follows:
