complete consideration and deliberation, approved the proposed large scale Future Land Use Map amendments for transmittal to the Department of Community Affairs; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry transmitted the proposed amendments on June 21, 2011 to the Department of Community Affairs pursuant to Section 163.3184 (3), Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received from the Florida Department of Community Affairs an "Objections, Recommendations, and Comments Report" on July 27, 2011, reflecting the Department's review of the proposed amendments; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry City Commission held a second public hearing after due public notice on August 22, 2011 at which it reviewed the written comments submitted by the Department of Community Affairs in the Objections, Recommendations, and Comments Report; reviewed all other written and oral comments submitted by members of the public, other local governments and reviewing agencies; and reviewed the recommendations of the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan map amendments adopted by this Ordinance comply with the requirements of the Community Planning Act and the amendments are in the best interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Casselberry, Florida, and serves a legitimate government interest. •, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporated herein. SECTION 2. Authority. This Ordinance is adopted in compliance with, and pursuant to, the Community Planning Act, Section 163.3184 and 163.3187, Florida Statutes. SECTION 3. That portion of the Future Land Use Plan Element referenced as the Future Land Use Map of Chapter 66, Section 66 -29 of the City of Casselberry Code of Ordinance 11 -1355 Future Land Use Map Amendments Page 2 of 4
