Casselberry Housing Task Force <br />August 21, 2012 <br />Page 3 <br />A motion was presented that the Task Force recommend the City make an offer to purchase the golf course <br />in order to become the primary controlling factor in its development. Mr. Wadley moved to accept the motion. Mr. <br />DeFilippo seconded the motion, The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Program Revenue Sources Review <br />Mr. Don Martin, Community Development Director, presented information relating to the revenue sources <br />available to the Task Force to execute their recommended programs. He stated that the money derived from <br />legislation that required foreclosed properties to register with the City for the purposes of accountability on property <br />maintenance, and failure to do so would result in fines. The purpose of these funds will be to reinvest in the <br />neighborhoods. <br />A short discussion ensued regarding how much money had been collected, and how much the City expects <br />to accrue. <br />Audience Participation <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry <br />expressed his opinion regarding changes in golfing and golf course activity.
