® The Get Outdoors! Casselberry event went very well. Lots of families came out <br />for the event and were able to try kayaking; paddle boarding, slack lining, and <br />yoga. <br />® The Art and Music in the Park /food truck bazaar is very popular. Even with the <br />rain during the past couple of events, the turnout has been great. <br />® The Annual Senior and Student Art Exhibit is currently open at the Art House. <br />There will be a free reception on June 15 from 6 -8 pm. <br />® The RunYak will be held at Secret Lake Park on August 4 at 7 am. Volunteers <br />are needed. <br />® The next jazz concert will take place at Lake Concord Park on September 8. <br />® The City's annual Rock 'n' Run event is scheduled for September 15. <br />® A Halloween Spooktacular event is tentatively scheduled for the last Saturday in <br />October. <br />® The City's tree lighting will take place on December 14. <br />® The Friends of the Park are planning a Founder's Day type event in October <br />featuring Casselberry history and flowering plants. <br />® A new piece of artwork will be added to the sculpture garden soon. It was <br />formerly seen at Epcot. <br />Board Member Reports: <br />Ms. Evans said the Artist's Way class is in its third week at the Art House and has the <br />largest class to date. Nineteen artists of all different ages and levels are participating. <br />They will be exhibiting their work at the Art House in August. <br />Audience Participation: <br />John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Ln., commented on the Casselberry Golf Course <br />and financial trouble that was mentioned at the past Commission meeting. He <br />suggested that the City give them a tax credit. Discussion about area golf courses and <br />possible redevelopment ensued. <br />Adjournment <br />Ms. Herron moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 pm. Ms. Eckhart seconded the <br />motion.
