No
one came forward.
There were no general citizen comments regarding this case, Mr. Hale asked if the applicant would like to
make any closing comments. Mr. Ingram said if the front door was relocated to the Howell Branch Road side of the
building the signage would meet the City Code. Mr. Ingram requested that the Planning and Zoning Commission
allow the current signage to remain. He said the signage is not out of character with the building. Mr. Ingram said
that if the Commission denied the variance request it would require the business owner to relocate the door to allow
for the additional signage.
Mr. Hale asked Staff for final comments. Ms. Smith had no final comments regarding this item.
After a brief discussion, Mr. Hale asked for a motion to address BA 12 -07. Mr. Guzman recommended
denial of BA 12 -07 because the variance application does not meet all six criteria for granting the variance; therefore,
City Staff cannot support the request. Mr. Bryan seconded the motion.
The Board was polled.
Daniel Hale
Yes
Victor Lutz
Yes
Luis Guzman
Yes
Ron Bryan
Yes
Michael Wadley
Yes
Shavonne Hoyte -Rene
Yes
The motion passed unanimously.
Sixth Item of Business: SPR 1218: Scott C.
