Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />October 10, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />Fifth Item of Business: LPA 12 -09: ULDR Section 3.10.9 Continued. Amending the City Code, Section 3 -10.9, <br />Parking of Vehicles in Residential Districts, to clarify 24 -hour recreational equipment parking. <br />Ms. Marie Regan, Planner Il, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated October 10, <br />2012, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Ms. Regan provided a PowerPoint presentation (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). <br />Ms. Regan stated the Planning and Zoning Commission requested staff obtain clarification from the City Commission <br />regarding the type of recreational equipment which could be parked on a driveway for a designated period and the <br />frequency it can park. She said on October 8, 2012 the City Commission decided to continue to allow recreational <br />equipment as defined in Section 3 -10.9C to park on a driveway for the purpose of cleaning, loading and unloading <br />including boats and ATVs. The City Commission wanted to limit the frequency of parking and suggested allowing <br />parking for non consecutive 24 hour periods. <br />Mr. Meadows asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br />to, the request. No one came forward. <br />After a general discussion regarding the definition of recreational vehicles, Mr. Meadows asked for a motion <br />to address LPA 12 -09. Mr. Bryan made a motion to accept the proposed ordinance which amends ULDR Section 3- <br />10.9C.2B of the Code of Ordinances to allow recreational equipment to be parked overnight in the driveway or <br />designated parking area of a residential property for the sole purpose of loading, unloading or cleaning and overnight <br />parking cannot occur on consecutive 24 hour periods. Mr. Wadley seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: BA 12.06: 1006 Camelot Wav/ Hirmina Fernandez Continued. Variance request to <br />Article VII, Section 2.7.10 "Fences and Walls" of the Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations to <br />allow a 6.0 foot fence to encroach 34 feet into a front yard. <br />Mr. Jason Sorensen, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated October 10, <br />2012, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department).
