Discussion regarding the management direction for the CRA <br />Mr. Daigle explained that Mr. Donald Martin is no longer employed by the City of Casselberry and the City is <br />currently looking for his replacement. He said that he didn't want to overlook any of the CRA's tasks. <br />Mr. Daigle said that he contacted the Florida Redevelopment Association regarding the CRA's Director <br />Position. He said he also met with Mr. Randy Newlon, Ms. Sandra Smith and Ms. Pamela Lynch and also had <br />discussion with ACI. He said ACI is the organization that is heading up the program for the development of the City <br />Center Project. Mr, Daigle said he discussed the option of appointing an interim CRA Director during the hiring <br />process for a new Director and the involvement of the CRA Board in the interview process for hiring a new Director. <br />Mr. Daigle said in the past the CRA has used an interim CRA Director. <br />Mr, Daigle reviewed the CRA Worksheet that was included in the agenda packet (a copy is attached and <br />made a part of the minutes). A brief discussion ensued regarding hiring an interim CRA Director, Mr. Jones <br />expressed a concern that hiring an interim director would not be economically prudent for the Board and the City. Mr. <br />Daigle said the Director's position has been advertised. <br />Mr. Jones asked Ms. Smith if she could fill the position on a temporary basis until a new Director is hired. <br />Ms. Smith stated that the position should be filled within the next three months and she didn't feel there would be a <br />lot of movement within the CRA during that time frame. She said she would feel comfortable filling in until the <br />position is filled. <br />Mr. Daigle said that he has requested Mr. Dudgeon to prepare a history of the CRA and to provide <br />photographs which will assist in updating the new Director. Mr. Daigle explained that the Master Plan needs to be <br />updated and he would like to see a draft of the plan in June /July. He said that document would be needed before <br />requesting an extension from Seminole County. Ms. Smith explained that ACI has a continuing services contract <br />with the City which could be utilized if needed. <br />In response to Mr. McGregor's question, Mr. Daigle explained that there would be two CRA Board members <br />involved in the interview process for hiring a new Director. A discussion ensued regarding the interview process <br />including the CRA Board reviewing the interview questions and possibly adding additional questions. Ms. Smith <br />requested that the Board provide any questions to her and she would ensure that they would be included in the <br />
