Mr. Adams said <br />they are completing the parking analysis. <br />Mr. Adams said they have accommodated for the future relocation of the Police Station to create additional <br />opportunities for more retail and housing. He said that we have a very exciting opportunity that other cities have not <br />been able to capture and we have some strong financial returns on this. Mr. Adams reviewed the developer's <br />concept for the project. <br />In response to the Board's question regarding Casto's potential for leasing on this site, Mr. Adams said it is <br />very high because it is restaurant oriented and not a retail shop concept, He said they have indicated the types of <br />restaurants they have talked to but do not want to disclose that information at this time. Mr. Adams explained that <br />there are two separate developers for this project; however, a joint comprehensive plan is being done. Mr. Adams <br />said the housing project is going regardless of the Casto portion of the project. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the parking requirements for the project and adding pedestrian friendly <br />improvements. <br />Sixth Item of Business: CRA Extension <br />Ms, Smith explained that at the last meeting staff provided a presentation regarding the extension to the <br />CRA term and provided some options to the Board for their review. She said that Mr. Dudgeon will be providing <br />additional information regarding those discussions. Ms. Smith said at the end of the presentation staff will be <br />requesting suggestions from the Board as to the direction the Board would like to take regarding the terms and the <br />scope of the CRA. <br />Mr. Kyle Dudgeon, Economic Development Planner, presented a PowerPoint presentation (a copy is <br />attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Dudgeon said that we have a limited time to carry out our projects. <br />He said the City's prospects for extension to the CRA term or modification may be weak. He said staff is requesting <br />direction from the Board regarding the life of the CRA and projects moving forward. <br />A general discussion ensued regarding potential projects outlined in the PowerPoint presentation, <br />development of the Chan property adjacent to City Hall, the future of the CRA and the need to hire a consultant to <br />
