Community Redevelopment Agency <br />January 10, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />Ms, Smith explained that the City Commission will make Board appointments at the January 28, 2013 City <br />Commission meeting. She said the Board appointments will be sworn in at the next CRA meeting. Ms. Smith <br />thanked Mr. Daigle for serving on the CRA Board, <br />Mr. Jones made a motion to present to the City Commission to commend Mr. Daigle for his service for the <br />last ten years on the Board and also his leadership and service as Chairman of the CRA. Mr. Jones recommended <br />to the City that they take note and commend him for that service. Mr. Trueba seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously by voice vote, <br />Ms. Smith explained that the Board holds an annual Board Appreciation Dinner to recognize the Board <br />members for their service. <br />Mr. Daigle said that the CRA has come a long way in a very short time frame for the Casselberry <br />community. He said the CRA has made a huge impact. He said when he took over as Chairman he had to <br />address financial discrepancies between the City and County Tax Increment Funding. He said the CRA still has <br />work to do with the extension of the CRA and the projects along the corridor. Mr. Daigle thanked staff and the other <br />volunteers that have served on the Board. He said serving on the Board has been challenging but also a lot of fun <br />and something to look forward to on a monthly basis, <br />In response to Mr. Daigle's question regarding election of a new Chairman, Ms. Smith explained that the <br />City Commission will appoint new board members to the CRA at the January meeting and the election of officers <br />would take place at the February CRA meeting. <br />Fifth Item of Business: Other Business: <br />a.
