CITY OF CASSELBERRT <br />DECEMBER <br />MOTION: Mr. Henson moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien will be <br />reduced in this case from $11,150 to $750, the property must be maintained in a husband like manner per <br />City Code and the lien is to be paid within 60 days of the Commission's order or the fine reverts to the <br />original fine amount. The reason for this reduction is: unique circumstances. Mr. Smith seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Designated parking, ULDR Section 3 -10.9 (A) (4) <br />® CE-12-01387201 Lake Griffin Dr <br />Ms. Smith, Interim Community Development Director, advised the Code Enforcement Board that there is <br />a request for a reduction for the above location. <br />The violation was for improper parking based on the City's designated parking requirements. This <br />property has been owned by Darlene and Dennis Pigott since 2005 and there have been fourteen code <br />violations at this property during this time. This property is currently in foreclosure, staff is not aware of a <br />pending contract for sale. The property owner /applicant was present. <br />Darlene Pigott, 324 Misty Oaks Run, advised it has been hard to collect rent from her tenants. Ms. Pigott <br />asked for a reduction because at the time she did not know they were illegally parking. The tenant was <br />taking the letters and not letting Ms. Pigott know about it. <br />MOTION: Mr. Smith moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien will be <br />reduced in this case from $1,250 to $612.50, to be paid within 60 days of the Commission's order or the <br />fine reverts to the original fine amount. The reason for this reduction is: financial hardship on the part of <br />the owner. Ms. Hale seconded the motion. Mr. Bakalla and Mr. Herron voted nay. All others voted aye. <br />The motion was approved. <br />CASES WITHDRAWN FROM HEARING <br />Ms. Smith, Acting Community Development Director, advised the Code Enforcement Board that the <br />following cases were being withdrawn from the December 13, 2012 Code Enforcement Board <br />meeting due to the reasons listed.
