CITY OF CASSELBERRT DECEMBER MOTION: Mr. Henson moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien will be reduced in this case from $11,150 to $750, the property must be maintained in a husband like manner per City Code and the lien is to be paid within 60 days of the Commission's order or the fine reverts to the original fine amount. The reason for this reduction is: unique circumstances. Mr. Smith seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Designated parking, ULDR Section 3 -10.9 (A) (4) ® CE-12-01387201 Lake Griffin Dr Ms. Smith, Interim Community Development Director, advised the Code Enforcement Board that there is a request for a reduction for the above location. The violation was for improper parking based on the City's designated parking requirements. This property has been owned by Darlene and Dennis Pigott since 2005 and there have been fourteen code violations at this property during this time. This property is currently in foreclosure, staff is not aware of a pending contract for sale. The property owner /applicant was present. Darlene Pigott, 324 Misty Oaks Run, advised it has been hard to collect rent from her tenants. Ms. Pigott asked for a reduction because at the time she did not know they were illegally parking. The tenant was taking the letters and not letting Ms. Pigott know about it. MOTION: Mr. Smith moved that the Board recommend to the City Commission that the lien will be reduced in this case from $1,250 to $612.50, to be paid within 60 days of the Commission's order or the fine reverts to the original fine amount. The reason for this reduction is: financial hardship on the part of the owner. Ms. Hale seconded the motion. Mr. Bakalla and Mr. Herron voted nay. All others voted aye. The motion was approved.
