Due to extenuating circumstances, the City and Wilbur Smith Associates have been
required to provide exhaustive efforts translating into billable hours insuring the contractor (Central Florida
Environmental Corp.) complies with the requirements of the contract and Federal /State reporting. Purchase
Order no. 64295, originally for $199,473, will need to increase by $137,803 for a total of $337,276 for
additional construction engineering inspection services from Wilbur Smith Associates. The necessary
additional cost will be funded through a transfer from the General Fund. The transfer will be made possible by
a reduction to the Contingency Reserve. It may become possible for FDOT to authorize reimbursement for this
additional expense. If so, the General Fund will be reimbursed. ,
