FY 12/13 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Application Introduction: Consideration to apply for the FY 12/13 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $11,590 to purchase in- vehicle camera systems for Police patrol vehicles is requested. Budget Impact: There will be no budget impact to the General Fund. Upon award of the grant, a Budget Amendment will be necessary to provide an increase of $11,590 to Account #001- 0000 - 334.22 -01 (Department of Justice Grant) and an increase to the Small Tools and Equipment account #001- 0610 - 521 -56. The use of federal /State Law Enforcement Trust funds will be used to cover any cost in excess of $11,590. Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Police Chief recommend approval of the grant application for $11,500 to purchase in- vehicle video systems. G. Budget Amendment #12 -046 - North Winter Park Drive Phase II Project Budget Rollover Revision Introduction: Consideration to approve Budget Amendment # 12 -046 to correct the North Winter Park Drive (NWPD) Phase II (PW 1005) project budget is requested. Budget Impact: The budget impact associated with the corrections for the project's rollover budget and the transfer from the General Fund for Change Order 1 will be expressed in Budget Amendment #12-046. If allowed by FDOT, any money transferred from the General Fund to support the project will be returned to the General Fund. It is not likely that a recovery will be known before the beginning of FY 2013. BA #12-046 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to make budgetary corrections for the North Winter Park Drive (NWPD) Phase II project (PW1005). After extensive analysis by City staff, it was determined that the budgetary allocations in specific accounts did not sufficiently match the actual project expenses. This budget amendment will correct (1) the project budget rollover, (2) BA11 -035 associated with Change Order No. 1, and (3) transfers from the General Fund. A more comprehensive description of the budgetary corrections is included in Exhibit "A" and "B" to BA # 12 -046, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
