Minutes of March 19, 2012 — Special Meeting <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the minutes of the March 19, 2012 <br />special meeting, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0. <br />B. Minutes of March 12, 2012 — Regular Meeting <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the minutes of the March 12, 2012 <br />regular meeting, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0. <br />No items were scheduled on this agenda. <br />7. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />MENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Ms. Phylis Nussbaum, 1160 Calle del Norte, voiced concerns about the dangers for <br />pedestrians in the Central Florida area and the possibility of danger to Florida from tsunamis <br />and nuclear contamination. She submitted handwritten notes, newspaper articles and a copy <br />of a video of a tsunami to the City Clerk for consideration by the Commission. <br />2. Mr. Richard Birdoff, 24 Trails End, Chappaqua, New York, principal of RD Management <br />Company, spoke in opposition to the 17- 92/436 flyover. He provided visual aids and <br />handouts to the Commission showing the area surrounding the proposed flyover. He stated <br />his belief that the flyover would result in limited access to and visibility of surrounding <br />properties and would change the traffic pattern from consumer and shopper - oriented to more <br />commuter- oriented. He added that he felt future uses which could be brought to the area <br />would be reluctant to do so for these reasons. <br />
