Minutes of October 10, 2011 — Regular Meeting MOTION: Vice Mayor Miller moved to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2011 Regular Meeting, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0. The order of the following ht,o Agenda items, Item 6— Presentations /Commendations and Item 7— Citizens' Comments were rehersed and tit,ere heard as follotivs: 7> CI'T'IZENS' COMMENTS Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of decorum. The following individuals came forward: 1. Mr. Jim Brewer, 843 Wolf Trail, expressed concerns about the road construction work being done on Winter Park Drive. He suggested that the scraping of the road be done in the mornings and in the evenings to avoid damage to residents' vehicles. 2. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about County Commission representation within the City and confusion at the county level over annexations of property into the City. No one else came forward. A. Presentation: City Special Events Ms. Linda Moore, Interim Recreation Manager, gave a presentation outlining City special events held throughout the year. She emphasized that these events are a great way to build a sense of community in the City, and of marketing the City to people outside the City which could possibly result in new residents and businesses relocating to the City. The Commissioners expressed appreciation to Ms. Moore for her hard work and the great job she does planning the City's events. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
