CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 24, 2011— Regular Meeting <br />Page 2 of 9 <br />The City Cleric called the roll of Elected Officials. All were present. <br />5. MINUTES <br />A. Minutes of October 10, 2011 — Regular Meeting <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Miller moved to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2011 <br />Regular Meeting, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0. <br />The order of the following ht,o Agenda items, Item 6— Presentations /Commendations and Item 7— Citizens' <br />Comments were rehersed and tit,ere heard as follotivs: <br />7> CI'T'IZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Mr. Jim Brewer, 843 Wolf Trail, expressed concerns about the road construction work being <br />done on Winter Park Drive. He suggested that the scraping of the road be done in the <br />mornings and in the evenings to avoid damage to residents' vehicles. <br />2. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about County Commission <br />representation within the City and confusion at the county level over annexations of property <br />into the City. <br />No one else came forward. <br />A. Presentation: City Special Events <br />Ms. Linda Moore, Interim Recreation Manager, gave a presentation outlining City special events held <br />throughout the year. She emphasized that these events are a great way to build a sense of community in the <br />City, and of marketing the City to people outside the City which could possibly result in new residents and <br />businesses relocating to the City. The Commissioners expressed appreciation to Ms. Moore for her hard work <br />and the great job she does planning the City's events. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br />
